The Gerber Dime is one of the most popular mini multi-tools on the planet. And yet, it divides EDC websites and forums in a way that few other items can match. So what’s the deal with the Dime? Designed by Franco Clivio, this little German marvel features an interesting actuation, transforming from a simply cylinder to a full sized ballpoint with the press of a button. If you only own one product from Fisher, odds are it’s a version of their iconic Bullet Space Pen. We’ve carried one for the last few months and have generally enjoyed the device. But, after perusing the company’s catalog, a different model caught our eye – The Fisher Backpacker.
