In the crowded world of pens, it’s always nice to see something new. So when we stumbled across the Pico from Lamy, we knew we had to give it a try. Designed by Franco Clivio, this little German marvel features an interesting actuation, transforming from a simply cylinder to a full sized ballpoint with the press of a button. Review: Lamy Safari Fountain Pen

In our world of texting, email, and digital tech, fountain pens are something of an anachronism. These large, gravity-fed writing instruments are known to leak, dry out, or otherwise fail despite their typically stratospheric price tags. And yet, there’s a huge community dedicated to the collection and use of fountain pens. We at Journeywind Junk decided to see what all the fuss was about.
